Situated on the border of the Latin and Germanic worlds, Alsace has grown rich in history and culture throughout the centuries. Along with its western neighbor (Lorraine) Alsace has changed nationalities no less than 4 times between 1870 and 1945. It’s a wonderfully modern and quaint place with charming flowered villages, and one of France’s favored wine routes.
