How does one go about finding French radio stations?
While in France, we tend to turn on the car radio and I've noticed the few stations we've listened to to be amazingly eclectic. You can get classical, jazz and pop on the same station within the same hour. That doesn't happen often in the US (if it even happens anymore).
One of the things we like about France is that you can shop and eat in peace. The French don't seem to feel the need to fill every waking moment with some sort of sound. There is a place for silence. You can actually hear your dinner partner talking to you!
Funny you mention this, because we had an article about French radios in our latest newsletter. It gives a few of the more popular radio stations as well as some of the most eclectic ones, and includes an almost exhaustive listing of radios from France available on the net.
