Hello. We have not stayed in Marseilles. However, we do travel all over France and when we are just spending a night, we look for the nearest Logis de France. It is a chain of small family-owned hotels all over the country. They vary from bare budget to chateau but nearly all have an excellent restaurant. The price varies according to the size and luxury of the particular establishment so there is something for every taste and budget. Your other option is to do the Hotel Search here on the France.com web site. Just choose Marseilles and look for your hotel. Both web sites have photos and the France.com web site will also have reviews. You can double check the reviews at http://www.tripadvisor.com where there are reviews of nearly every hotel in the entire world. Love it . . .
