Will my radar detector that I use in my car in the united states to warn me of traffic police work on the roads in France?

Hello,
I just asked some friends of mine who had bought their radar in the US and they told me that it worked fine. Also, beware: you cannot talk on the phone and drive at the same time. French police is very strict regarding this. Do get a phone driving kit before going to France, otherwise, for sure, you’ll get stopped by the "Flics"
