Get onto the RER D (a subway train of sorts) from Charles de Gaulle and take it to the Gare Lyon in Paris. [You may instead want to take a taxi to Gare Lyon which can be a bit pricy, but worth the money. Just make sure they go the actual mileage and don't drive you around the block for 40 minutes. ] Anyways, from the Gare Lyon (in paris) you can take a train which has a connection at Banlieue and stops in Yerres. Yerres is about 20 minutes away from Paris; however, check if you can at the airport the times of trains so that you are not waiting at the Gare Lyon for a long time. Even better make a reservation ahead of time as reservations are sometimes required (depending on the time of travel.) To make a train reservation you can go to http://www.voyages-sncf.com . Also, watch your luggage as thieves are every present in on French trains and subways systems.

    Hope this helps.

I probably won’t be much help, but I’ll take shot…

Of course renting a car is the best option. You don’t mention which airport you’ll be arriving at, so I’ll assume it’s CDG. According to http://www.mappy.com, Yerres is about a 1hr drive from CDG (Mappy can give you driving directions). Also, Michelin road maps are great for getting around; we use them every time we go over and swear by them. So, if you have time to stop by a bookstore on the way to the airport…

If renting a car is not an option, then the next best thing may be to take a cab, shuttle, or look into bus routes from Aeroport Orly. According to Mappy, Yerres is only a 20-30min drive from Orly and, thus, there may be a better chance of finding some form of public transportation to Yerres from there as compared to CDG (I’m sure a cab will be most happy to make a run to Yerres, but it might be a little pricey). Treking from CDG to Orly can be done via the Metro. While I’m sure there are better Metro maps to be found online, I did a quick search and found one at http://www.ratp.fr/ParisVisite/Eng. Checking it out will give you some idea of what sort of trek you might be in for.

    Hope that helps.

    Bon voyage!

I just read yukonsworld post, which makes much more sense than what I suggested.
