Info needed on travelling through France,in a motorhome.
Camp sites, gas stations,motorways etc.
Also when is the best time of year weatherwise?. Thanks

"Camping and Caravanning France" is a great guidebook. It gives most of the municipal and commercial campgrounds with all pertinent information. We use a tent, but it works for either tent or caravan (in USA called a motorhome or RV). We got ours from Amazon.com but it would be available at most UK bookstores and nearly all on-line bookstores.
May-June or even late April are great times for camping in France. It's not as rainy as autumn and the days are longer so you have more daylight for sightseeing. July and August are not great because everyone in Europe is also on vacation and weather can get very hot.

Have fun. France has great campgrounds. Many have very nice restaurants too. Don't be shy about municipal campgrounds; they are excellent and often near the center of town so you can walk to tourist sites.
