This district quite close to Saint Germain dates back to the 13th century when the Sorbonne was built. Throughout the
centuries it has remained the center of France's intellectual life.
Today it's a mixture of Roman ruins and bohemian style cafés where students extrapolate about Life with a capital L.
All in all, a great and fun place for the younger crowd and those who want to be in lively surroundings.
The area spreads from the Seine to the Panthéon (the final resting place of France's great men and women).
