We loved the room. The nearby town is lovely and very close to the hotel. I would say that the restaurant was a little too quiet and the food was only OK when we went. I would suggest eating in town at night.

I was very pleased with this lovely property in the countryside near Lourmarin. It's a little too far to walk into Lourmarin, but I think some people do it anyway. I liked the peace and quiet of staying in the countryside. I had the "room de charme", which was nice, fairly big, basic comforts, but not anything fancy, and had a nice view. I had the "half-board" option, which worked out wonderfully, as the food was very good at this hotel, and nicely served. I liked not having to go out again for dinner after a busy day of sightseeing, and the half-board is quite cost-effective. I stayed for 3 nights, and would have enjoyed even longer. They have a beautiful swimming pool, if you are there in the summer. I was there in May, and the clientele seemed to be mostly French.

THE GUILLES WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY. OUR MEAL AT YOUR RESTUARANT WAS EXCEPTIONAL AND WE LOVED THE TOWN OF LOUMARIN. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AS WE HAD TO GET A TOW TRUCK FOR OUR CAR. THEY MADE THE CALLS FOR US AS OUR FRENCH IS VERY MINIMAL. WE ONLY REGRET NOT HAVING A FAN IN OUR ROOM AS THE NIGHTS WERE VERY WARM. WE DO RECOMMEND YOU PROVIDING A FAN FOR YOUR GUESTS. I KNOW THIS WAS AN EXCEPTIONALLY HOT SUMMER BUT WE COULD HARDLY SLEEP. THANK YOU FOR A VERY NICE VISIT. SINCERELY, TORY HENDRY

The Gullies was a perfect retreat from Paris. We rented a car at the TVG and found the town Lourmarin and Hotel Gullies. Treat yourself, Ask for the deluxe room, our room was off the courtyard, like a hobbits hole awaiting a huge bath and King size bead. The staff and cusine was wonderful. The hotel is about 3km from town in the country. I think the best food was served at the Gullies, 5 course meal, unlike Paris, 70 euros would equal a meal equal to 150 euro in Paris. The Hotel only caters to it's guests. The Town of Lourmarin is a dream. Street market and all you can expect from a Provence town is here. Just drive in any direction and you'll find much beauty in the Luberon region. We will be back to the Gullies! John & Cynthia

This setting for this hotel was spectacular and so peaceful, back a long country lane through olive groves. It was very "provencale" and quite charming. The nearby village of Lourmarin is quaint and a fun place to hae a quiet meal or explore on foot.

Lovely hotel where we had a room overlooking the countryside. Excellent facilities. Within easy drive (~3km) (or walk but there are no paths at the side of the road if you're doing this at night!) of the village where there are a variety of restaurants once you've worked your way through some of the daily menus at the hotel. Very helpful and polite staff. We'll definitely stay there again!

The hotel is one of the better places in France. All the town around this hotel are gorgeous. Nevertheless, the hotel did not complied with my only request (communicating rooms for my children) after they assured it me on the phone 3 weeks before getting there. It turns out they do not have communicating rooms. Additionally, if you are planning on staying for diner at the hotel, you have to put it on your reservation, because the hotel has a very small restaurant. I arrived at 4 in the afternoon and they told me there was not a place left for us, so we had to leave to hotel to have dinner at a gorgous town near (perwaps it was better for us?). The attitude of the receptionists is poor and with a very narrow mind. I would not come back.
