Once you found the hotel, the location was very convenient for visting the chateaus.The food and service was great. My wife and I had the best nights of sleep that we have had for years.

Les Chenes Rouge is a diamond in the rough. Located in the middle of nowhere it is beautiful 11 room hotel with great service, excellent food and a wonderful setting. Roaring fireplaces in the bar and dining room during cooler evenings and the rooms are surprising large and well appointed.

For a nice hideaway not too far from Chambord, Amboise, Cheverny and other fine castles, this is a great deal for the money. On a private lake with the sounds of a cuckoo in the morning this was a quiet relaxing retreat.

First, your reservation service is the best! I will never use another in France. Second, if you are looking for a get away in the country on a lake, this place is perfection. The restaurant was great. The experience is very French. Do not hesitate to visit Les Chenes Rouges. La proprietaire etait charmante!
