The Duke of Windsor once stayed there, and if you're as unconventional as he was, you'll love this one, especially once you discover the moderate prices !
The Lounge Bar & Restaurant are at your disposal for drinks and dinners. You would be able to have dinner in the Tropical gargen during the summer, or near the fireplace in the winter.
Also at your disposal, the fitness room, the sauna, hammam (11 euros per session) and massages (55 euros)..

No parking at the hotel. There is a private parking 200 meters from the hotel (Cost: 20 Euros for 24Hrs) - The Hotel is at 5 mn walking distance from the Promenade des Anglais. Open all year.

Hotel Windsor in Nice. This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. Every room is decorated by an artist. Small but nice. The elevator had sounds like lift off from a rocket blasting off. Originally it was written up in Travel and Leisure the first time we stayed there. We were not disappointed this time either. The breakfast was served outside in a garden with parrots under beautiful trees. They serve dinner some evenings, but not every evening. Food was excellent, and a reasonable wine list. Location great, but parking is a few blocks away. You can walk everywhere from this hotel and it has charm.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was very adequate. A/C was somewhat marginal but helped. Parking is non existent but we would stay here again.

Convenient to the airport and the town centre the Hotel Windsor is in a quiet street just off the main thoroughfair. The hotel has a lovely garden which can be enjoyed during warm pleasant summer evenings. Breakfast at the hotel costs an additional 8 euro and it is worth it. Good coffee, fresh criossant and fruit juice is available. The staff on the reception are most helpful and will give you all the best recommendations for restaurants, tours and shopping. We enjoyed our stay their very much and hope to return again.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful, and really enjoyed our stay in Nice. The rooms were very stylish and unique. Breakfast in the garden was a lovely start to the day. We will definitely be back!

We spend only one night in hotel Windsor. That´s why they gave us a first floor room next to the heavy traffic street, very dark one with no view at all. That was very disappontment for us, because I had send an e-mail to hotel beforehand and asked a quiet room from garden side, if possible. I have read a lot of Windsor Hotel in travel magazines and from your pages. You can imagine that we were really sad when we noticed what we had got. In hotel they said they give better rooms for the guests who stay longer than only one night. It´s sure of course but when you choose a hotel because of it´s reputation and wait something amasing,so... Anyway, the hotel reseptionists were really polite and understanding. I hope other people have better luck than we did.

Outstanding and helpful staff at this hotel, especially Colvin. I recommend a garden view room (we stayed there twice this trip with a side trip to St. Paul in the middle). Very spacious room. They should add shower curtains or a half-glass door in the bath. An Internet-access computer would be a great convenience. Location is away from the noisier areas although rue Dalpazzo has its share of street traffic. Love the birds in the garden aviary. Altogether a great value for a stay in Nice.
