An excellent hotel ideally located near the place de la concorde and within walking distance of the Luvre, Hotel de ville, Notre Dame and the Champs Elyesse. The staff are great and very friendly, the rooms have a lovely view and are spotless. Overall an excellent hotel.

We stayed in the Brighton In April 2004. They were undergoing pretty substantial renovations at the time...to the main entrance and dining area, as well as all the rooms on OUR FLOOR! Needless to say, the hotel was not a pleasant place to be during the day for us, as the construction folks were hammering away on the walls in the adjoining rooms. My mother was on a differen floor, however, in a nicely renovated room and she heard no noise. So request a room that has ALREADY been rennovated (ours wasn't...toilet was literally in the closet and shower was circa 1945...but they still charged us same fare as my mother's nicely renovated room..grrr).
You can't beat the location, however, and once the renovations are completed, I'm sure the prices will sky rocket. The hotel is right across the street from the Tuilleries...short walk to Place De La Concorde and metro station there. I couldn't have asked for a more central, better location at a reasonable price.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was simple, but pleasant dispite the construction...and the modifications are certainly going to improve the hotel, so I would definitely look into staying at the Hotel Brighton in the future.

The Hotel Brighton is an excellent value. The prime right bank location is in the midst of much more expensive accomodations while giving up nothing significant. The staff is polite and helpful and made us very comfortable. We noticed a lack of useful air conditioning while we stayed through an unusual Paris heat wave. We needed fans to stay cool while in the room.

We have enjoyed staying at the Hotel Brighton two years in a row. The front desk personnel were very helpful with restaurant and museum directions and reservations. The larger rooms on the 3rd floor with a view of the Eiffel Tower and the Tuilleries are exceptional. This is a perfect location for touring the city as it is very close to public transportation. The hotel is undergoing renovation, but it had a minimal impact on our stay and our rooms were beautifully decorated and like new.
