I stayed there for 2 nights, it is a very clean and tidy hotel and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is spot on giving you a 5min walk and your in the main area of Notre Dam. I really enjoyed the stay and recommend the hotel highly.

I had a wonderful stay. The service was very friendly. The walls are rather thin so you hear every thing, but other then that, Great! Every thing in Paris is small, Every thing! So don't judge a place on size when nothing in the area is big. The location could not have been better. Every single street in the area had somthing to offer. Always new places to find. It is right there for the Greek area, that places has enough places to eat for the whole stay! RER and Metro right there! easy to take express RER from airport. I will be back, and I will be staying here again.

As noted above, the rooms are tiny, but there is suitable closet space and room for your suitcases. The bathroom is small but very clean and has a working hair dryer. (How much time can you spend in a bathroom anyway?!)
There was a little desk and plenty of room for my laptop with a wall outlet nearby. There was another outlet in the room and another outlet in the bathroom. I actually charged my camera batteries in the bathroom! It worked.
The room was spotless and towels were fine. There were no washcloths but that's pretty normal in France. When you get one, it's a little terry mitt that I don't like. We take our own washcloths. They replaced the soap and shampoo as we used them . . . a plus I didn't expect at the hotel prices!
The desk people were all unfailingly polite and all that we met spoke English, some better than others. I brought the wrong adapter for my laptop and the young woman at the desk dug through her supply and loaned me one on the honor system.
The breakfast was adequate and well priced. The breakfast room is small but people move through fairly quickly. We walked to Chez Paul's for breakfast a few times simply because they make the best hot chocolate we've ever had. The hotel does offer orange juice which is unusual in inexpensive hotels in France.
The greatest thing about the hotel was the location. You can walk almost anyplace. We were across from the Sorbonne, a few blocks from the Musee Cluny, an easy stroll to the Latin Quarter and Notre Dame. We walked all over Paris, averaging ten miles a day easily. We walked to the Musee d'Orsay, the Louvre, the Pompidou Center, lots of churches and just strolled through neighborhoods.
There are three Metro stations nearby and two of them are also RER stations. We took the RER directly from CDG to Luxembourg Station and it was an easy walk to the hotel. Another day we walked to the Cluny-la Sorbonne Metro station and took the RER out to Versailles.
If you're looking for 4-star luxury, you'll pay for it. We go for Paris, not room service. The desk did offer to make shuttle reservations for us, but I managed myself. I thought it was kind of her to offer. Again, I don't expect this much service at an inexpensive hotel.
There are other hotels in this area, but you really can't beat the combination of price and location. It was quiet; the bed was good; it was clean; staff was wonderful and . . . location location location.
We'll use Hotel La Sorbonne again and I would recommend it highly for budget travelers. We've used this reservation system for five or six trips to France and have never had a problem. I think it's a terrific service and would recommend the reservation service for travelers of any budget level.

We enjoyed being in the vicinity of the Pantheon, the park closeby and, being close to city centre.

Great location ..right around the corner from a little square with fountains at a Sorbonne entrance on St. Michel. The rooms were clean, each with its own personality, and quiet, facing a courtyard with scattered flower boxes in the windows. Bathrooms were small(tight toilet space!),as described, but they were very clean and we had ample hot water. Three metro stops are located a decent walk up or down St. Michel. This hotel, with its small hallways and cozy ambience, made us feel like we were in a large Parisian house, which you wouldn't get at a generic chain hotel. Excellent value in both price and location. Area felt very safe. Staff was polite and efficient though not overly friendly. My friends and I will definitely return there on our next trip to Paris. Thank you for the excellent recommendation, value and easy reservation service. This was a great first trip to France!
