Wonderful location with a great and caring staff. We would have a nice breakfast at the hotel then chateau and village visit and come back for a lazy evening of great food and drink. The 3 days were very relaxing.

Nice hotel friendly staff. Very good meal. Walls a bit thin in the garden rooms. Would stay here again without a doubt

Le Fleuray is the epitome of country French. A great location for chateau and winery visits, and even better for relaxing dinners in the evening on the patio. The menu de jur changed daily and a la carte was extensive, all with wonderful selections. This is definitely worth the trip if you want some quiet time in the country with a top notch restaurant a step away.

After the bustle of Paris, we appreciated the country atmosphere and the lovely ambiance. It was very hot so no airconditioning took some getting used to, but the proprietor provided a fan immediately when we asked. We would certainly return.

What a wonderful hotel! The staff was totally accomodating. The physical building is delightful. The food was wonderful! The only "negative" was the location, I didn't realize how far out into the country it was located, but that would not keep me from recomending it to anyone wanting a great hotel experience outside of the city. I certainly hope to be able to return!

A very attractive and well-situated hotel. 2 drawbacks: i) the food, and especially the drinks were significantly overpriced, cashing in on the monopoly position achieved in the area - 21 euros is excessive for a bottle of wine priced 4 euros in local supermarkets. ii) the walls were thin between rooms.
We did not really take to the owner, who showed little genuine liking or empathy for guests, and seemed fond of his wallet. But we enjoyed our stay, eating locally in pretty Amboise (10 miles away) most evenings.
Note:
The Newington family (owners of Le Fleuray Hotel) would like to thank Mr Tom Allen for the previous comment. Merci! In response to your comment we wanted to add:
In our popular restaurant, their is an "à la carte", so guests can choose as simply as they wish to suit their budget, or full menus from 26,50 Euros per adult and 14,50 Euros per child, prices unchanged from 2003 for 2004.
Warmest regards,
The Newington family.

The location is very beautiful and quiet. My room(standard type)is very lovery decorated and very wider than hotels in Paris. We enjoyed swimming and drinking aperitif in the garden befor the dinner. The dinner in the garden is delicious. But I think the breakfast is plain considering the price.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Service and food were great. Really felt at home at this B&B. Great wine list and prices. Also loved the feel of being in the country.
