With such a short stay of overnight only, we did not have opportunity to avail ourselves of the services of the hotel. However, we found the experience to be satisfactory for our needs.

Standard double room very nicely done but very, very small. No drawer storage, just a hang-up closet. Only night club on the street is right across the street from room 22 which was ours and had noise going on sometimes to 5:00 a.m. Location wonderful.

The hotel was very nice and extremely well located. We stayed in a standard double. The room was pleasantly decorated and the bathroom was small but clean and newly rennovated. The building itself is very old and charming. I thought it was great. The price seemed comparable with other hotels in the area but clearly there is a premium for this location on the left bank. The staff was friendly if slightly disinterested. All in all a good stay and worth recommending if you can afford the rates.

Room was small but adequate. When we arrived the room had a heavy smoking odor, but we opened the window for a few hours and it was quite acceptable. Front desk staff spoke English and was quite helpful. Full breakfast is included in room rate, which made getting an early start on sight-seeing much easier. We liked the safe neighborhood with many sidewalk cafes. We would come back again.

The food wasn't very good but all other things were good. I have only stayed at one other hotel in Paris similiar location and price, this was a little less but still I would recommend the hotel.

Our experience at the Grand Hotel de l'Univers was perfect in every way. You certainly cannot beat the location -- it was perfect for exploring the left bank and very easy to get to most of the sites on the right bank. We walked everywhere we needed to go. The room was perfectly comfortable. We were on the sixth floor and had a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. It was clean, quite spacious (it was a deluxe room), and very comfortable. When the windows were closed the outside street noise was completely blocked out - and the airconditioner kept the room very comfortable. We definitely recommend this hotel, and will return for our next stay. Many thanks to france.com as well -- the reservation for both the hotel and the airport shuttle was amazingly easy and efficient.

I found the staff quite helpful. Location could not have been better. With a room in the back away from the street, it was very quiet. Breakfast great.

This hotel was in a great location. Really close to one metro stop and access to another. Area filled with restaurants, and walking distance to may sights. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.

We had a great stay in Paris and the hotel was in a perfect location for easily getting around. The metro station was close and it was also close enough to walk to many sites. There are a number of good restaurants, shops, & markets right in the area. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
