I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. It was a great location and pleasant atmosphere. But what really topped it off was the very nice woman who worked at the front desk each day and the woman who made the breakfast. They were very welcoming and helpful, and I really appreciated that since I was alone in the city for a conference and do not speak a word of French!

My friends and I had a lovely stay at Hotel de Lille! The people who worked at the front desk were so helpful and courteous! I would recommend this hotel for location, for helpfulness of the staff, and for an overall pleasant experience!!!

Very small rooms and no shower curtain, but everything was modernized and very clean. If you're not planning on spending much time in the room, it's a great place to stay. Wonderful French breakfast included in cost. Great location for exploring the left bank.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good price for the location - within walking distance of many great sites.

Room is too small. TV set hanging under the ceiling. Breakfast was minimal and all days the same. But still OK, Paris... you know...

The rooms are exactly as advertised - they are very small. However, they are well organized and equipped. The bathroom had recently been renovated and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the ability to pre-order breakfast in my room at a specific time. The outstanding location more than compensates for the small rooms. If one is not planning to spend much time in the room, this is an excellent value for the location.

Superb location right next to Musee Dorsay and easy walk to Ile de France, Louvre etc. nice cafe up the road (Cafe du Pont I think it was called). Room quite small but adequate when you want to be outside visiting Paris and not lounging indoors. Three small quibbles were: lack of Do Not Disturb sign, the cleaner didn't always come back to do the room after we had left and the shower head had no attachment on the wall so you had to hold it (and no screen, so the floor got quite wet). Friendly staff. I'll probably use the hotel again.

The location was great!Though we found Rue de Bac metro to be farther than the Saint Germain metro. Rue du Bac area was also a much quieter area and less touristy--if you are looking for this type of area, this area was great. On my next visit I would rather stay in a more bustling area, such as the Pantheon area. As far as the room, the lighting in the bathroom was horrible, I have red hair and it showed up mousy brown. Bring a makeup mirror but then again where would you plug it in because the outlet in the room was by the door. Very inconvenient for hair and make-up.The staff was very helpful and the breakfast brought to our room was delicious croissants, baguettes and coffee. The room was pleasant enough but no better than a clean and well kept motel room you would find in the U.S. The bathroom was updated but dont expect a shower curtain--just lather and up carefully use the hand held shower head.Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our stay mainly because we wanted to walk around in Paris and this hotel is truly central to all the major attractions.

Excellent, excellent location; we found out that most places are within reach by foot, which is much better than taking the underground. Rooms small but OK. Service good. Breakfast French !
