Altogether, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We received a 5'th floor room (the elevator reaches only the 4'th), but it was spacious, clean and nice, although it's only window opened to the roof. Breakfast is rather dull, and we would recommend not to purchase it. Service was OK, and the hotel is located in a quite street, near a Metro station.

Out of 5, We'll grade it as 4.5. May return again.

Delambre is well located. Like the prior comments made, I also echo that the outside rooms are noisy and the amount of light from the sign is annoying. We still had a very good stay. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The price was very good. The bedding was typical French Queen (two doubles stuck together), but comfortable enough. Our stay was for 10 days. We might recommend they change the sheets a little more often then they did. We also noticed that a sewer smell was resolved by covering the shower drain (the rooms were very clean so no health concerns or anything). The hair dryers worked very well. The phones were modern enough. The shower had a lot of hot water, though for a big person, it may be tight. The shower heads adjusted from tall to short without problem. The TV's were a little small, but there is not a lot of selection in France anyway. There is a laundramat a few doors down and several grocery stores nearby. The italian restaurant Auberge was a good price for good quality. Ciel de Paris was great on the 56th floor of Montparnasse, but call early with for a reservation to get a good table. Montparnasse 25 had great service, but was expensive. Food was good. All the local Bistros were good, as were the creperies, though the later were a very tight fit for a guy 6 foot plus. I agree that Edgar Quinet is best metro to use, but we also found Vavin very convenient. Fantastick children's store called jacardi on rue Vavin. Also one of best chocolateries in Paris on rue Vavin. Inside rooms are recommended, and pack in no more that two big bags a piece. Very small elevator. Loved that fact that they had a minibar at the front desk full of coke's, water and juice. Overall stay was very good - made even better when the final bill was tallied! We got what we expected pretty much. A little lack of luxery, but a great price and great location.

There couldn't be a friendlier hotel staff in Paris! They let us check in early since we arrived around noon and really needed a nap after flying all night. The desk clerk was always exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location is really nice - there are two Metro stops nearby and lots of brasseries, patisseries, and boulangeries to visit. Room was small but very clean and had a private bath. We're very glad we chose to stay here for our three nights in Paris.

I've stayed in eight different hotels in Paris over the years and would hapilly return to about 4 of them. I would certainly have no hesitation in returning to the Delambre. The hotel is located in a pleasant area near Montparnasse Tower and is very close to 2 Metro stations.

My overall impression of the hotel was that it was extremely pleasant, clean and friendly for a city hotel. All reception staff gave a genuinely friendly greeting each time we passed them. The small touches such as the chambermaid giving the room a last minute check before we first entered (as they had only just finished cleaning it) were reassuring. The room was a very good size for Paris too. The only small problem was the street noise (most noticeable on Saturday night, plus the rubbish collection van which could be heard early every morning), which they couldn't really do much about without installing double-glazing. Otherwise, the hotel is in an excellent location with plenty of restaurants and cafes on the doorstep.

Stayed at Delambre for 6 nights. It is located in the Montparness neighbourhood. Overall very pleased with accommodation and chose Delambre because it offered a suite of 2 rooms each with own bathroom and TV. A good choice for a family travelling to Paris. Rooms are on the small side by American Standards given the price but that is all part of the experience. The optional breakfast seemed expensive so I did what the Parisians do and went to the local Patisserie. Location was great with 2 metro stops on either side of Rue Delambre. There are quite a few sites you can walk to from the Hotel. There is a little Supermarket on Rue Delambre again very useful for a family and plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area. French Hotel Reservation Center was very convenient and I recommend any family trying to get from Charles De Gaulle Airport to book the Airport Connection from their website. It made the trip to and from the airport painless. I recommend Rick Steve's travel guide to Paris and it will make your stay and experience all the more enjoyable. For American travellers I highly recommend a guide book on Paris by Rick Steves. It was of great assistance to me.

It was small by U.S.A. standards, but ample. Decor was charming and remarkably clean. We had a 2nd level room in the back which overlooked a courtyard and was very quiet at night. Although the hotel is not close to the touristic sites, it is close to two metro stations - going anywhere was very easy via metro in Paris. An excellent hotel although the location is slightly away from major tourist attractions. However, it is close (5 minute walk) to Air France shuttle stop at Montparnasse and metro stations are just a few steps away. Better to use Edgar Quinet metro station instead of Vavin. Great staff and service, and the room is bigger than what I was expecting. I will definitely stay there again when I visit Paris in future. Surrounded by lots of cafeterias and restaurants, and a supermarket is just several doors away. Good venue to watch Parisians come out to party in the evening especially on Friday evening. We had a room with a small balcony facing rue Delambre, where we watches the bustle of Parisian life. Closing the door cut out all the noise from the street. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Delambre and especially the location, as we felt we were among the local Parisian's with all the amenities necessary for a tourist. The metro was within a block which provides access to everywhere. The Delambre is located on a quiet side street, away from the traffic. The local area has several cafe's, shopping and even a laundry mat a few doors down. The Delambare was especially quaint, clean and friendly. Our room was on the top level, 5th floor which is acutally the attic area. The room was large even with sloped ceilings and faced the back of the building which was very quiet. Slept with the windows open each nite. No Air Conditioning but we only needed a fan one nite due to extreme warm temperatures for the season. The bathroom was large, with tub, shower, hair dryer. Shower has no curtain, so we used the hand held while sitting in the tub, worked fine. The staff was extremely helpful, spoke good english and french and assisted with reservations on a dinner river cruise (highly recommended). Good continental breakfast with great coffee. Would definately recommend it and would consider staying there again.

The Hotel Delambre is a real find---it was EXTREMELY charming, reasonably priced, centrally located, and the service was excellent. The staff is VERY friendly, kind and speaks excellent English--they really make you feel at home in every way. The room we had was off the street, with exposed beam ceilings, large bathroom, and a private little porch with table and chairs at which you could have a baguette/cheese and wine, listen to the birds (which gently wake you in the morning) and gaze at the red geraniums which surround you. The room might be petite, but the bed is large and comfortable. Very romantic and very relaxing for this New Yorker!!! I would go back in a heartbeat!

The room was very clean and very quiet (ours faced the back courtyard) although it was sparse and small. It was like a dorm room with nice wallpaper and curtains. There isn't any furniture really. It's shelves attached to the wall. The staff was very nice. The location was great. Lots of little restaurants, bakeries, and a supermarket closeby. This is a good choice if you don't mind a room with minimal amenities at a low price in a great neighborhood. Don't miss the farmers market on Sat morning.

The area was alive with restaurants and activity and only on Friday and Saturday night in the early AM did that noise become slightly distracting. But the clean rooms, the friendly service, the reasonable price, and the location (very close to 2 metros) definitely made up for the distraction. When I go back to Paris, I will easily choose to stay at the Delambre again.

Like everyone said, the metro station and the Air France shuttle station was near the hotel which made everything all the more convenient. There's a lot of cafes and restraunts nearby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris on a budget. I don't think you can get this kind of accommadation for this price anywhere else. The room and the bathroon was very clean. The people in the front desk was very helpful and they spoke English. The neighborhood was really quiet at night. The only thing we did not like is the shower door. Instead of a whole door, we hold had a half door. After the shower, the floor got quite wet. All in all, this hotel made our stay very comfortable.

I had a delightful stay at this small friendly hotel. The rooms where clean and in good condition. I specifically asked for a room away from the street front as previous reviews had mentioned that they can be noisy. The room was very quiet and the view from the window looked something like a stage set from Oliver twist. The room was warm and the beds comfortable. There are cafes and boulangeries in abundance at the door. We walked everyday to different sights and were always within easy reach of the metro when we had sore feet. The area also has many cinemas with some English Speaking films, there is a market of absolutely wonderful fresh food held 2 days a week just a short stroll away, there is also an art market on each sunday displaying some very talented artists works. I spent 10 days here and it was hard to leave. Many thanks to the curtious friendly staff who always greated us with a smile.

If you're on a budget, the Delambre is a GREAT choice. The rooms are inexpensive and immaculate and, although they're not large, you're never in them anyway. It's in a great location, with three metro stations (on three different metro lines) within a couple of blocks. This provided us with very easy access all over the city--we didn't take a sinlge taxi. The staff (all fluent in English) was very friendly and accomodating. Le Casting Bar, just down Delambre Street, is a great (and relatively non-smokey) place to go and have a drink. Also, there are many excellent restaurants in the area. (Le Rotonde on the corner of Montparnasse and Raspail has excellent food.) Also, the Luxembourg Gardens are only a few blocks away. We loved Paris, and would definitly stay at the Delambre again. Both the French Hotel Reservation system and airport connection service worked perfectly and we recommend them both. Au revoir.

It's difficult to find rooms for a family of four in Paris. We chose the Delambre based on availability of a 2-room suite at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent -- within 2 blocks of 3 metro stations; short walking distance to the Jardin du Luxembourg; around the corner from 2 streets full of reasonably priced restaurants (for example a block teeming with breton creperies). The breakfasts, for an additional 40FF or so, were convenient and adequate. The room could be described as no-frills -- no a/c for example -- but all in all an excellent value and we would certainly recommend for families.

My parent (Hernan and Irma) had a room for 4 days, I spend only two days at the Delambre hotel. We were very please with our stay. The people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. My parents were able to get help from them with tours, taxis, etc. even though they do not speak French and their English is not very fluent. The breakfast is very good and reasonably price. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and confortable. I recommend to request one of the rooms in the interior to avoid the street noise on Saturday night. The only minor incovenience is the location if you are coming from the airport via the metro with lots of luggage. We did not realize we had the change trains and go up and down several stairs in the tranfer and that was a little bit tough on my parents who have been on two overseas crossings to get to Paris. If I'm traveling ligh, by myself or just with my husband, I would definetively stay again in this hotel.

Our stay was excellent. The hotel was very good and well situated close to the Metro's. The only complaint that would stop me from returning was the amount of street noise( till 2AM). I would have to have a room away from the street.

We could not have been more pleased with the staff at the Delambre nor with the location. When we arrived shortly before noon, our room was ready for us! That was a surprise and greatly appreciated. There is a self-service laundry just a few doors away, and the desk clerk went with us to explain how to use it! Two metro stops are very conveniently nearby. There are many shops on Delambre so we could get fruit and wine easily. All in all, it was a great experience; we would certainly go there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Delambre, along with my brother and sister-in-law, and we all can't say enough good things about the hotel! We were so pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the fantastic location of the hotel! The hotel is located in a non-touristy area of Paris, within short walking distance of a plethora of cafes, creperies and bars as well as two Metro stations. You can also walk to the Montparnasse train station in less than 10 minutes. The staff went above and beyond what we expected in their willingness to help (they also speak fluent English), and they always had smiles on their faces. Best of all, given all the positive aspects of this hotel and its staff, the price was under $80 a night! We will definitely stay at the Hotel Delambre again when visiting Paris and will recommend the hotel to anyone we can. Finally, we found the French Hotel Reservation Center easy to use and quite effective in booking our rooms. We will also use the Reservation Center again when we stay anywhere in France.

Paris is wonderful. enjoying the city was made much easier by stumbling on the Delambre. The location was perfect, you name it and you could find it within a five minute walk from the hotel: restaurants, cafes, pastry, etc. - only a 15 minute walk to the Latin Quarter, Louvre, Notre Dame, and 20 minutes from the Eiffel Tower. While the price was great, the room was exactly what we needed, and the staff was great - the best part was the location: again anything we were looking for was in the area so the one or two times we didn't want to go far we didn't have to. Even better: while there were several small hotels in the area - the vast majority of people were Parisians - the area had all of the things that make Paris great, the area was convenient to get to anywhere (three metro stops within a five minute walk) and yet we weren't swamped with tourists - we could actually see a lot about Paris culture right where we were staying. I can't say enough good things. I don't think I would stay anywhere else when I go back to Paris.

We already knew to expect small rooms, but as we only stayed long enough to sleep that was unimportant. The room was very clean and the bathroom quite lovely. The service was excellent and very personal. The hotel staff was always helpful with questions and directions. We had problems with our airport shuttle on departing and the hotel manager stayed on the phone for quite a while trying to resolve the issue for us. The Delambre location is not right in the middle of heavy tourist area, and that was its charm. There are two Metro stations at either end of the street, so transporation was easy. rue de Delambre is a great street, with a butcher, baker, fish store and grocery. quite the local feel. The staff all spoke fluent English, and were very helpful. For the price, this is a great hotel.

The location of the hotel was also excellent: very close to metro, cafe's, bakery's, supermarket, department stores, internet cafe's, etc...The hotel is not in a touristy part of town, which to us was an adavantage. We got to see the Parissian way of life. It was also very easy to go to museums/sights using the metro. We took the airfrance bus to and from the airport (the airfrance bus-stop is about 2-3 blocks from the Hotel). Our room was small comapred to North American standards, but the room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was new and very clean as well. The French Reservation Centre also did an excellent job, we got reminder emails before we left, and we had no problems with our reservation. We will stay at Delambre again on our next trip to Paris.

I was impressed with the Delambre. The staff was friendly, the hotel was charming. I enjoyed a balcony that looked out over a bustling street and awoke in the mornings to the laughter of French children at the school down the block. The only problem was that the bed linens were not changed in the eight days we stayed there. Other than that, I enjoyed the room. The bathtub was large, shampoo and soap were provided, the staff handled late and early departures, there was a nice outdoor patio for lunches, the front desk was always stocked with French candies, there were chocolate treats left in the room every afternoon, and the room itself was very clean (and the lift was a real plus). The hotel was well situated to the subway and to enjoying French cafes and nightlife. I was overall very pleased and would encourage other travelers not to overlook this little gem.

Before I moved to the Hotel Delambre I stayed at the Hotel Nikko and Hilton for a business conference. The rooms there were expensive, old and dirty. When I moved to the Delambre my expectations haven't been so high anymore. But then I was really surprised. I think it is the Hotel in a big world-city like Paris, London, NY with the best price value I've stayed in recent years. This was our 2nd stay at the Hotel Delambre. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The location is great as the hotel is 1 to 1 1/2 blocks from 2 metro stations on two different lines. This makes for easy and simple getting around all of Paris. We took the Air France Bus from Charles De Gaul Airport to the Gar Montparnasse which is only a few blocks from the hotel. The reservations were handled expeditiously by French Hotel Reservation Center, including a reminder just prior to our arrival to print the reservation voucher. We will definitely use the French Hotel Reservation Center again, and if visiting Paris in the future will stay at the Delambre for a 3rd time. Many fine restaurants are within easy walking distance of the hotel, and just down the block is a great boulangerie as well as a deli, and fish market. All in all, we are very pleased with the Hotel Delambre. For us Americans however, we must be prepared for the smaller hotel rooms in European hotels. Although small, the rooms are very comfortable. Finally, for the price, great service and location, I will recomend the Hotel Delambre to anyone visiting Paris.

The room had a great view of the street and the hotel is in a great location (easily accessible to the metro, restaurants, bars, ATM, and a grocery store). I especially would recommend Le Parc au Cerfs, just down a bit to the left from Boulevard Montparnasse/Rue Delambre. The hotel also had quite a good atmosphere, with welcoming and friendly people at the desk. The breakfast at Hotel Delambre was disappointing though, as an important part of Paris (France) is crisp baguettes, croissants and a real cafe au lait for breakfast and not sad factory-made bread nearly impossible to bite through. The boulangerie down the street had the right stuff.

Our room was adequate in size, and the bathroom was larger and better than many stateside motel rooms. The English speaking staff were most helpful, especially Veronique who went out of her way to assist us. Two Metro lines are conveniently nearby. There is an excellant open market only one block away. Unfortunately, it is only open on Sat and Wed.. Many Cafes nearby. We would definitely stay again.

Our 1st room at Hotel Delambre was charming; off the street, picturesque, quiet, extremely clean (and we are neat-nics). We wished we had booked for our entire stay. However, we were moved to the street--a larger room, but noisier. They were helpful in putting a fan into our room, however, the front desk personnel were not service oriented nor spoke much english. We ended up moving to the Hotel Lenox (1 block away) for the remainder of our stay. The service was exceptional there(and the reason for our switch). The location was ideal--central in a "residential" area of Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed the Luxembourg Gardens(close by). Great restaurants in area--suggest chez Clement for english speaking reprieve with english menus, and good home-style cooking. When we return to Paris we would consider Hotel Delambre (in our first room) since we now have experience in Paris (don't recommend for English speaking 1st timer's) and would DEFINATELY use your reservation center. I was a bit uneasy this trip, but would completely rest using your service in the future. Those who are considering using the Reservation Center--we highly recommend it.

A great antidote to the small, dark room that traditionally greets tourists in Paris: the Delambre is bright and cheerful yet also quiet. My room offered a firm mattress, a big sunny bathroom, nifty shampoo, and a reliable telephone. The Montparnasse area won't suit everyone, but if you like to walk you're near everything and yet not overpaying for location. One small shortcoming: if you try to flee the drab breakfast you'll either have to choose among the nearby cafes, which are about as lame as they come in Paris, or travel some distance. Bottom line: I'd go back in a heartbeat.

The Hotel Delambre I believe was a good place for my visit to Paris. Its location is excellent with respect to the metro stops; there were 3 within a 2 block walk. It is also near to a Galeries Lafayette for shopping and some nifty parks that weren't outlined in my guide book. The staff was helpful, although not all of the desk help was very good with the English. However, they knew enough to get by. We did not take advantage of their breakfast since there are several boulangeries nearby which open early and have a wide assortment of pastries and breads which are perfect for breakfast. There are also many creperies and restaurants nearby. However, it helps to know a little French to get by in the groceries and restaurants around this part of town. My only complaints about the place are that the rooms are not very soundproof, which was a problem one or two nights, and the hose on the hand-held shower head was not long enough to permit it to be hung on its holder.

Get there early if you want an egg, they seem to be quite popular. The neighborhood had every store you could possibly need, many cafes, a lively pub, and is walking distance to the Gare Montparnasse. As someone had previously put in their review, Edgar Quinet is a much closer Metro station than Vavin. I would definitely recommend the Hotel Delambre to anyone who wants a nice, clean, reasonably priced hotel in a charming neighborhood in Paris.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Delambre and overall, we were pleased. The bathroom was very bright, white and clean....that was important to us. The bed was not extremely comfortable, but we were able to sleep okay. The only amenity I wished they had was some drawers for our use. There was a very small closet to hang things, but no drawers...which left us to live out of our suitcases for 4 nights. Service was pretty good, the front desk was always helpful. We LOVED the area the hotel was in -- very central location, close to the metro and the railways -- so getting places was very easy. We would stay there again if they upkeep the hotel in the years to come.

However, we found tha bar across the street was sometimes noisy until quite late and since there is no air conditioning we had to keep the window open. The Delambre is an impeccably clean hotel run by generally friendly staff. I would gladly recommend it with just one or two caveats. The location, while not central, is still excellent, just around the corner from La Coupole and Le Dome (tip: Le Dome's cafe offers le pétit dejeuner for about the same price as the hotel but with a much nicer view :) ). It's no more than 150 m. to the Vavin Metro stop and 500 m. to Montparnasse Bienvenue from the hotel. Our room was tiny by North American standards, but why would you spend any more time in your room than necessary with Paris at your doorstep? For light sleepers, I would definitely recommend requesting a room in the back, especially in warm weather. The bar directly across the street (Le Majestic) is rowdy until the very wee hours. Once it closes, the hardcore drinkers move on to Ti Jos, the Breton pub next door. You'll hear them 'til 3 or 4 in the morning if your window's open. Then at 5 AM you'll hear delivery trucks and workers starting their days. . . Be sure to stop by the roving market at the south end of the street (not the end that intersects Blvd du Montparnasse) on Saturday mornings!

Dear Reservation Center, I must say that the time I spent in Paris was really excellent and also because it was nice to come back to this nice hotel after the whole day of work with our French partners. The staff was very friendly and the room, type Double Superior was really nice and quite spacious as for France. The room was in friendly, warm colours and the bed was long (I am 183 tall!). The localisation was perfect to get by metro wherever I wanted. I felt safe to come back around midnight too. The time I spent in Paris and this hotel was great also because some of my personal things, I will remember this stay for long and am going to choose this hotel and your service in future. Muy bien localizado, con tres estaciones del metro a menos de 100 metros, lo que facilita mucho el desplazamiento a los pontos turisticos (sobre todo la linea 4) y no muy lejos del jardin de Luxemburgo y de St-Germain-des-Pres ; varias veces hice caminadas entre el Quartier Latin y el hotel . La gare de tren de Montparnasse esta a 5 minutos, en taxi. El barrio de Montparnasse tiene muchos cafes, restaurantes, boulangeries, etc, y en la calle Montparnasse, paralela a la rue Delambre, hay decenas de creperies, buena opcion para alimentacion. El personal del hotel es muy agradable, atento, y dispuesto a auxiliar los huespedes cuando necesario. Las instalaciones son confortables, los cuartos muy limpios y alegremente decorados, no son muy amplios, pero el espacio es suficiente para dos adultos. Estuve alojada en un cuarto de fondos, silencioso y tranquilo. El desayuno es un buffet bien servido, con croissants deliciosos. El precio es bien razonable por todas estas comodidades y sin duda voy a recomendar este hotel a todos mis amigos. Si tengo oportunidad de volver a Paris, voy a dirigirme a este hotel en primer lugar. Realmente, la estadia en el hotel Delambre contribuyo mucho para que mi viaje a Francia fuese una experiencia deliciosa!

The bathroom was a good size but there was no curtain on the shower. MAkes for a tricky time. Overall all, we thought the Delambre was in a perfect location near Saint-Germain, all the great restaurants. Very clean!!

The staff was very patient considering we didn't speak French. There are plenty of restaraunts around and little stores for shopping and buying snacks. The Delambre was a great place to rest your head at night. The rooms are decorated with wonderful colors. The bathroom is a great size for those of us who are used to american hotel bathrooms. There was a good size closet for hanging items. We had a lap top with us and the room was equiped with an additional phone outlet, which was very handy. The staff at the hotel were friendly and spoke english well. The hotel is located on a quiet street. It's near three Metro stops (Edgar Quinet being the closest walk)and it's close to the train station. For all this - You can't beat the cost! It made our stay very comfortable!

Parking is obviously difficult, being the centre of Paris, but well worth the effort of trying. The room was clean and comfortable, away from traffic noise and overlooking well-tended backcourts. The breakfast was minimal but absolutely sufficient (no hot dishes, but plenty). The location gave scope for plenty to see and do, and I would certainly consider staying again.

We had a true sense of being in Paris and experiencing the culture that I doubt we would have had if we had stayed in a chain hotel. The hotel was wonderfully located and the staff very friendly, very helpful and incredibly efficient. The cost was incredibly reasonable. The French Hotel Reservation Center was also very efficient in booking the reservation, reminding us about it, and then following up afterwards. We had a very good time in Paris and the French Hotel Reservation Center contribute to that.It was good that we didn't lose any of our time searching for a hotel. Actually, the whole procedure was very easy and the hotel was exactly as we were expected. Althought from outside seems to be a little bit old, inside is nice, with simple and nice furniture, very clean and normal size of rooms. Of course, the view was nothing special and the balcony was not the best, but overall we are satisfied and we may visit it again in the future. About the rigion, I whould say that it was perfect. There are many cafes, cinemas and restarants around, but still the hotel is in a quite road. Also notice that the distances are not not so important in Paris, as the metro covers all the places and you can travel from the one end of the city to the other in about half an hour. Overall: Very good!

One suggesion we have is for air-conditioning to be installed for the hotter weather that usually occurs in July and August. I was amazed to find a hotel in the 14e, in high season, charging only 460 FF a night, which averages out to about $75-80 USD a night! The cleanliness and decor were superb...I was also impressed with its perfect locale, right down the street from le Bistrot du Dome, one of the best seafood restaurants in Paris. I will definitely stay at Hotel Delambre again, and I have recommended it to many people.

Very nice simple tasteful and comfortable room (superior double), friendly and helpful staff, and close to three choices of metro station in the most lively section of Montparnasse. In future I'd ask for a room in the back, as one night the noise in the street below kept us awake 'til the wee hours - shouldn't be a problem with the window closed on cooler nights though. I really appreciated the Reservation Center, because even though we initially only queried whether space was available, the room was held at least a couple of days for us to respond. I know this for sure, because I separately contacted the hotel by phone in between querying and actually booking.

A fantastic street market on Boulevard Edgar Quinet (half block away) on Wednesdays and Saturdays, then an art market (same place) on Sundays. Many cafes and restaurants nearby, and 3 Metro stations within about a one-block radius. And, the staff at Hotel was very friendly and helpful, with English language spoken freely. Tres excellente!!

Clean, attractive rooms with view onto "landscaped" terraces. Access to patio. Many American and British guests. Great value for the location and quality of the hotel. Considering adding drawers (currently only counters and small closet, no drawers). Only complaints: elevator is very slow and tv is in ackward location with very limited stations (who watches tv on vacation anyway?). Breakfast is optional but a tremendous value. For the price of breakfast in any local restaurant or cafe, unlimited continental breakfast, including hard boiled eggs, cheese and cold cereal.
