The owners, a charming couple whose family has been living in Martinique since 1715, will share with you their love of quiet walks through the tropical forest, rhum distilleries or old stories about this land of warm full serenity.
An authentic colonial manor
Overlooking a wide sunny bay where foam rolling waves answer to the gentle whisper of sugarcanes fields, the place is simply breathtaking. Among two hundred-years-old mango trees, banana trees and anthuriums, you will savor the privilege of this rare and still intact Martinique property, that mixes 19th century Louisiana architecture to the mahogany furniture of plantations from the past.
Luxuous bedrooms with real nineteenth century decoration
You will enjoy a quality of comfort that fits with the majesty of the place : blending their refined facilities with the softness of clothes, the air conditioned bedrooms open on a large terrace surrounding the master mansion.
Purely designed wide bathrooms offer noble materials : mahogany, chrome and glass.
A reknown place for its French-Caribbean gastronomy
When they come up from the ocean, the trade winds free their scents : it’s time to celebrate gastronomy with our invitation to dine. Our guest get specialy enthusiastic about a Lamb Curry the Madras way and its Christophines gratin, followed by our Chocolate Soufflé with Lime and Old Rhum, the whole being complemented with a fresh Sancerre white wine.
Receptions and entertainments
We open Le Domaine Saint Aubin, partially or totally, for private parties, enterprises lunches or dinners, professional meetings and communication events. Being a musician, Laurent will help you to choose your entertainment.
The acoustical characteristics of our wooden floor and ceilings with beams are exceptional. We give “dinner + concert” evenings with the best carribean jazzmen (musicians from Malavoi, Falfrett, Mahogany) or garden-parties with reknown artists (singer/musicians from Kassav).
A quick and simple access to all sites
Located at Petite Rivière Salée (5mn from the town of Trinité by car) Le Domaine Saint Aubin is 30mn from Fort-de-France / the airport by nationale 1. Nearest beach is 4mn and every place in Martinique can’t be much further than 1 hour driving.
The nearby La Caravelle peninsula and its protected natural area sets the opening to north-atlantic territories, blank from massive tourism : wild beauty of a coast that the ocean beats, tropical forest at the peak of a volcanic hill, dark stone mansion hiding a legendary distillery which still produces its amber colored rhum …
