The enchanting and colourful story of Le Lido starts in 1946 when the brothers Clerico acquire the location on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, then called "La Plage de Paris". Wanting to bring back the heyday of Parisian Cabaret, they put their effort in creating a luxury review unequalled in the City of Lights.
More than 60 years later, the Lido is still the place for scintillating revues much like those made across the Atlantic, but with a definite French touch.
In 1977, after a long refurbishment, the Lido re-opened to a new seating arrangement making it easy for everyone in the 1100+ seat theater to enjoy a good view of the colourful show on stage: To ensure perfect visibility for everyone in the audience, the 1150-seat panoramic theater has been designed without columns
